Visit Scotland – Tourism Survey

Visit Scotland’s Insights team launched their first regional Tourism Barometer for Perthshire in April 2017.

And it’s no surprise that many businesses in Crieff are directly or indirectly affected by tourism. Whether it’s the local taxi service ferrying tourists, a gift shop, a B&B or a joiner refurbishing a holiday home. All are affected by this industry.

The survey is now being issued quarterly in order for Visit Scotland to provide a snapshot of how tourism in the Perthshire area is doing now and could be doing in the future and the next Perthshire Tourism Barometer survey is now open:

The survey will enable Visit Scotland to benchmark data across different regions and sectors. It aims to collate information from local businesses to track tourism performance and trends across the region. If we can get a strong response rate for the Crieff area, Visit Scotland are able to provide a tailored report specific to the town.

The results could potentially drive and influence development opportunities and strengthen any funding applications. At a time when all the focus and investment appears to be very much Perth based, we need to take every opportunity we can to build a case for Crieff.

The results from the Quarter 3 survey for Perthshire can be found here:

It’s makes for an interesting read and shows there is a level of quiet optimism and confidence over the coming months. This is based on a level of forward and repeat bookings and events coming to the area.

The businesses of Crieff are key to providing this insight, and your participation will enable us to build a stronger case. If you have a minute please complete the short survey.

Kind regards
