Just a quick copy and paste this time. I received two different e-mails from T in the Park today. One is about support for local businesses and the other is a note of a point of contact regarding the police presence at the event. I hope you find them useful:
1st E-mail (business assistance)
Sent on behalf of T in the Park
T in the Park, taking place at Strathallan Castle from 7th to 11th July, are once again organising a Local Business Promotions Initiative to help promote local businesses to the many staff working and staying in the local area over the festival’s site build and de-rig period (starting 13th June and ending on 22nd July.) These Promotional offers will be made available to all the site staff working onsite at the festival and will not be advertised to the general public.
If you are a local business who would like to be considered for inclusion in this Promotions Initiative, please complete the attached Form and email it to email@example.com Or if you know of a local business that you think might be interested, please pass on the Form so they can consider applying – applications accepted until Monday 30th May. We will then advise if you have been successful. As you will see from the Application Form, the offers are not valid during the event weekend itself.
We know staff like to utilise the activities and services of the local area when not working onsite particularly but not exclusively in the evenings eg. cafes and takeaways, restaurants, leisure activities for the evening, fitness, golf, fishing etc. We welcome applications from a range of relevant businesses in the local area to Strathallan but in particular, eateries and leisure activities.
As you are aware T in the Park will be taking place between Thursday 7th and Monday 11th July again at Strathallan this year. I am the community liaison officer for Police Scotland leading up to, during and after the event. If you have any policing concerns in relation to this event please do not hesitate to contact myself either by e-mail via firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 01738 892943 (if the concern is in relation to an ongoing incident contact should be made via 101 or 999 if in an emergency).
Auchterarder Police Station will be open to the public over the period of T in the Park and I will be working from there during this time. We will have additional officers working in the Strathallan Ward during T in the Park giving additional police visibility and reassurance. We hope to have a mobile police station to use during the event to base officers from other locations in the locality so if you have any suggestions of where you would like to see this vehicle then please let me know.
I have recently attended four community engagement events (two in Auchterarder and two in Muthill) but fully appreciate that not everybody can make it along to these events so I am very happy for my contact details to be passed on to anyone in the community who have any questions or concerns. My contact details will also be contained with the event organiser’s residents leaflet which I understand is due for distribution during the first half of June.
