£158,000 BID Grants

BID £158,000 local grants schemes opens for business.

The Crieff Succeeds Business Improvement District has launched two grant schemes worth £158,000 to local event organisers and local businesses.

The grant schemes are the first initiatives to come forward from the Crieff Succeeds BID Business Plan that was overwhelmingly voted through in June.

The Crieff BID will allocate £80,000 to support local events and festivals. Organisers will be able to apply to the new Crieff Succeeds BID Events Grant Scheme. The awards will look to support local event organisers cover costs such as; event management, insurance, promotion, website development, equipment hire or feasibility studies for new events. The scheme is open to organisers of both existing and new events.

The Crieff Succeeds BID has also opened a £78,000 Business Improvement Grant Scheme aimed at helping businesses attract more customers and help their ‘bottom line’. Applications will be welcomed from local businesses for; staff training, building business capacities such as a new website, help in opening up on-line trading, business planning, marketing and improvements to premises. The scheme also targets to assist businesses looking to open up closed-down shops and premises with higher levels of funding available.

Alan Rankin Crieff Succeeds BID Project Leader said. “The Events and Business Improvement support grant schemes are both shining examples of what a BID can do for Crieff by putting cash on the table to make things happen.”

The Crieff Succeeds BID Board has reviewed other grant schemes and made the application process as straightforward as possible promising a quick turnaround on decisions with a minimum of paperwork.

I note that the BID has some £78,000 available for business grants. Please advise how businesses are to go about making an application for such a grant. Our business is interested in securing a grant for improvements to the premises.
